Greetings all, As you may have seen recently, we posted AIP 12 : Increase Ideal Target Stake ([AIP 12: Increase Ideal Staking Ratio to 75% - #8 by SocialForging](https://forum.availproject.org/t/aip-12-increase-ideal-staking-ratio-to-75/1632/8)) to enhance the economic security of the network. This Ideal target stake change will be enacted on-chain tomorrow morning, following this there will be increase in the network stake from the foundation. The nomination program has assisted in a near a 2x expansion in the active set since Mainnet went live. These changes in ideal target and network stake, ensure that the APY remains steady, and a greater economic security is achieved for Mainnet. We are excited to continue our networks growth in 2025, thanks for your ongoing support. ---

Looking forward to it. The recent increase in active stake and validator set caused a sharp decline in APY. It is great to see the team being proactive and understanding the complex inflation model.
